I'm Laurel Bennett

My Story

With over 20 years of experience working with government and private sector services on their computer and information systems, Laurel Bennett has proven herself to be a smart, capable, hardworking leader.  She has worked with Fortune 500 companies such as Pratt & Whitney, Motorola, Harris TSS, and Sun Microsystems on technologies ranging from Advanced Rockets to Paging system cohesion. For the past six years, she has actively worked in the healthcare field, working as Project Manager and Sr. Systems Analyst for Bethesda Memorial and Jupiter Medical Center.  She holds has a Bachelor’s Degree from Florida Atlantic University’s (FAU)  College of Engineering, and has her Master’s Degree (MBA) from American InterContinental University with a concentration in Healthcare.
Laurel Bennett has held a Government Secret Clearance for her work with and within government agencies and affiliates.  She was an active member of the Central Palm Beach Chamber’s Economic Development and Government Affairs as well as a member of the Vero Beach Community Business Alliance.  Community service has a huge role in her life and she continues to contribute time to disabled handicapped horse riders, provides Personal Health Records (PHRs) to special needs people. She is the treasurer for her HOA, as well as various other organizational groups.
Currently, she is running for Florida House of Representatives, District 86, has reinstated her company, PHR Solutions and is supported by the Christian Family Coalition which is locally 300 churches.    Since her husband’s death last year, she has become more active in helping Veterans and wants to help the family members and caregivers of those disabled or ill. She was recently invited to D. C. to attend the Heritage Foundation for an event honoring women in government, such as Jennifer Carrol and Jovita Carranza Treasurer of the United States.  She is a member of the World Organization for Romanians and has traveled to Portugal, Romania, and Moldavia to show support for their endeavors. Her main focus will be on how to help her constituents in Florida and in particular, Palm Beach County, as well as the veterans and their healthcare needs.
